Block Captain
registration
Porchfest is possible because each block takes responsibility for itself. This is how we do it.
BLOCK
CAPTAIN REGISTRATION
ENDS JULY 26
Paving the way for the return of Porchfest on Saturday, October 11, we’ve carved the neighborhood into 32 zones — streets or parts of streets where neighbors are likely to know each other. Each zone will become eligible to participate in this year's event once a group of six residents has signed up as Block Captains. And keep in mind, serving as a Block Captain doesn't preclude being a porch host. Many folks in the past have done both.
Having trouble connecting with other potential captains? Looking for neighbors in your Zone? We get it. Below you can join the Aspiring Captains Registry so others can find you, or review the Registry to find interested neighbors you can connect with to build your team. NOTE: Registering as Block Captains must be done as a team of six on the form below. The Aspiring Captains Registry is only to help neighbors connect and organize before registering.
To find others in your zone:
TO REGISTER YOUR BLOCK CAPTAINS TEAM:
FIRST, find your Zone Number here.
THEN, review the Block Captain Responsibilities Guide here.
FINALLY, once you've spoken with neighbors and gotten a crew together, sign everyone up at once (including mobile and email contact for ALL registrants) below. You'll receive a confirmation email and your Zone will become part of the event area for this year's Porchfest. Then just stay tuned for future contact.
These zones have already signed up:
Don't sign up until you have your full team and all their contact information together.
